Guidelines for Reopening

Revised Patron Experience

Patrons are required to wear masks throughout the performance. All staff and volunteers will wear masks and will be temperature checked before working.

General Guidelines:

  • Do not enter the building if you are sick or have been sick within the last 14 days or have been in contact with someone who is sick
  • Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose unless eating or drinking
  • Stay at least six feet apart from other people
  • Wash your hands often
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth

Building doors and seating will open 30 minutes prior to the performance. There is no entry prior to that time. Sitting and loitering in the lobby will not be available.

The Stewart Theater participates in the “Count on Me NC” program.

Count On Me NC is a public health initiative that empowers visitors, guests and businesses to help keep everyone safe from COVID-19. Count On Me NC is a joint effort created by government and health officials in partnership with industry leaders from across the state.

Cleaning & Sanitation

Cleaning and sanitation processes have been increased especially for high touch surfaces such as railings, seats, and door handles.

Before you set foot into our theater, rest assured that your seat and surrounding areas have been carefully prepared for you. Any occupied seat is thoroughly sanitized before the next showtime, as well as adjacent seats and handrails.

Auditoriums are also regularly disinfected using pressurized sprayer equipment to reach all seats, handrails, armrests and tables. This fast-drying and non-toxic method allows us to thoroughly and evenly apply products identified by the EPA to be effective in eliminating COVID-19.

For extra assurance, seat wipe dispensers are available for any guest who wishes to re-clean their seat.

The Stewart Theater is operating at reduced capacity and staggered seating to lessen exposure and to follow CDC and NCDHHS recommendations.  This information will be reflected in the ticketing process with one price for all seats.

Seats have been staggered to minimize contact with other patrons.

Donate the value of your tickets if you cannot attend
